Let me see. The Homosexuals want the Christians to be nice and tolerant of them, yet the Homosexuals do not want to be nice and tolerant to the Christians??? There is something wrong with this picture!

When does life begin?

Nancy Pelosi recently stated that life begins at 3 months of age. see/listen to links below. I believe, like Senator John McCain, that life begins at conception.I question Pelosi’s view of life beginning at 3 months? So a child at 2 months and 10 days is not human? What is your opinion or thoughts on conception? When does life begin? Does it really matter? Is abortion acceptable?

PELOSI: As an ardent practicing Catholic, uh, this is an issue that I have studied for a long time. And what I know is over the centuries, the doctors of the church have not been able to make that definition, and, uh, Senator — uh, I’m — Senator — Uh, St. Augustin’ (sic) said at three months. We don’t know. The point is is that it shouldn’t have an impact on a woman’s right to choose. Roe v. Wade talks about very clear definitions of when the child — uh, eh, er, first trimester, certain considerations second trimester, not so third trimester. The — the — there’s very clear distinctions.

There is much debate over whether homosexuality is right or wrong; whether it is sin or not, and whether it should be an accepted alternative lifestyle option, or not. What are your views on this culturally, sociologically, and biblically?

Science isn’t everything!

In a debate between Peter Atkins (a Darwinist) and William Lane Craig (a Christian), there was an interesting exchange on the limit or limitlessness of science. Atkins says there weren’t any. Craig pointed out the following 5 areas that science cannot give a scientific explanation of:

1. mathematics and logic (science can’t prove them because science presupposes them),
2. metaphysical truths (such as, there are minds that exist other than my own),
3. ethical judgments (you can’t prove by science that the Nazi’s were evil, because morality is not subject to the scientific method),
4. aesthetic judgments (the beautiful, like the good, cannot be scientifically proven), and , ironically
5. science itself (the belief that the scientific method discovers truth can’t be proven by the scientific method itself)

Science is helpful; but we should not expect it to answer everything and it certainly hasn’t proven that God doesn’t exist contrary to many claims being made.
